Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Celia's Rosemary Garlic Herb Infused olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 3 large cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 teaspoons Italian herb mix

  • ½ teaspoon ground fennel seed

  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • ¼ cup Celia's Traditional balsamic vinegar

  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes

  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste

Celia's Pasta Sauce Directions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onion and salt; sauté until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in garlic, herb mix, fennel seed, red pepper flakes, and balsamic vinegar. Continue to heat until mixture appears slightly syrupy, about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and tomato paste. Bring back to a simmer until heated through, about 10 minutes.
